Every tube is poured in our Sunshine Coast studio, labeled by humans (hi, that's us), and shipped out across Canada. Six year-round flavors, a rotating cast of seasonal ones, and zero apologies for the name.

Ginny started making friggin’ lip balm because her customers kept asking for a natural lip balm that actually felt good to use. So she started creating her own formulas — something silky smooth, nourishing, fun, and affordable — and before long, friggin’ lip balm was born.

How a Customer Request became a whole friggin' thing
Ginny started making friggin’ lip balm after hearing the same thing from customers over and over again — they wanted a natural lip balm that actually felt good to use. So many products either felt waxy, greasy, grainy, or were packed with ingredients people didn’t recognize. She knew there had to be a better option.
What started as creating a smoother, more nourishing lip balm for her customers quickly turned into something much bigger. Today, friggin’ lip balm is still handmade in small batches on the Sunshine Coast using natural ingredients, fun flavors, and cheeky affirmations designed to make people smile every time they use it.

Look — nobody sets out to start a lip balm company. But when customers kept asking for a natural lip balm that felt silky smooth instead of waxy, greasy, or grainy, Ginny decided to create one herself. The goal was simple: make a lip balm with natural ingredients that felt good to use, smelled amazing, and didn’t cost a friggin’ fortune.
And that’s basically what happened.
2011
Where It All Started
friggin’ lip balm was born in Uxbridge, Ontario after Ginny’s customers kept asking for a natural lip balm that actually felt good to use. So many natural products at the time felt waxy, greasy, grainy — or came with a luxury price tag that didn’t make sense for an everyday essential.
So Ginny started creating her own formulas with one goal: make a lip balm that was silky smooth, nourishing, affordable, and fun to use every single day.
What started as a simple solution for customers quickly became a whole friggin’ thing.
Today, friggin’ lip balm is still proudly woman-owned, Canadian-made, and handcrafted in small batches using natural ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, aloe butter, soy butter, and vitamin E. No complicated nonsense. Just smooth, feel-good lip balm made with care.
2014
Small Batch, Big Love
Every tube of friggin’ lip balm is still handcrafted in small batches — not because it sounds trendy, but because quality matters. Small batches mean every formula, pour, label, and flavor gets real attention and care.
It’s hands-on, intentional, and made by actual humans… not pumped out by the millions in some giant factory.
2016
A Needed Pause
Life shifted, priorities changed, and friggin’ lip balm took a step back for a few years. But the idea — and the love people had for the brand — never really went away.
2023
The Comeback
In December 2023, friggin’ lip balm officially relaunched from Sechelt, BC on the Sunshine Coast, starting again with the original favorites: Natural and Mint.
This time around, the brand came back with even more personality, positivity, and purpose — including the cheeky affirmations that have become part of the friggin’ experience.
2024
Leaning All the Way In
Today, friggin’ lip balm keeps six year-round flavors on rotation: Natural, Mint, Cherry, Vanilla, Lemonade, and Chai. These are the everyday favorites — the ones people keep in their pocket, purse, car, bedside table… and somehow still lose constantly.
Then come the seasonal flavors: Chocolate, Cinnamon, Maple, Peach, Chocolate Orange, Chocolate Mint, and Gingerbread. Limited runs. Small batches. Here for a good time, not a long time.
